How To Build a PC (Episode 24)

Today I’m going to show you how to build a PC and it’s pretty easy! We’re making a new one because Daddy’s computer is 12 years old and that’s very old! about . . . about THIS old! And so we’re going to build a SWEET PC that . . . that so Daddy can play some nice games and do video editing So we’re going to unbox our brand new PC case I’m ready so let’s open this. Ah, that hurts! Okay . . . just . . . Let’s open it! Okay! Whoa, it’s big! I think it’s the biggest one. I flipped it upside down . . . and . . . This is the box upside down! As you can see it’s the upside down case! I did it! Okay . . . Now we’re going to take off these But I think . . . that this isn’t going to be really easy. Okay Woooooooo! This is cool Ooooo, fractal design I’ll just drop this right here on the floor Okay . . . and don’t worry about that! Ok, first I’m going to install the power supply Okay . . . Now I’m going to put this aside and now here comes the power supply! Okay . . . Okay . . . It’s not opening . . . oh here it comes! Here is something! Let’s see what’s in here! There’s lots of cables in here! Oooh! What are these? Let’s just leave it . . . And . . . I . . . what is this? Oh, this is the power supply! Make sure your fan is facing up because these are the vents and the vents are up here and not down under here so let me put it in! Okay . . . Okay . . . oof . . . Is this going to go in? Okay The power supply is like the stomache that’s where it gets all the energy from Next we’re going to do the motherboard Let’s see, where’s that motherboard? Inside here is the motherboard but before I do anyth . . . I open it . . . this . . . I’m . . . . . . um . . . I’m . . . . . . I put on . . . I’m going to show you that I put on this anti-static wrist-strap and . . . and . . . so I don’t destroy and . . . and . . . and break the computer because that’s not going to be good AT ALL! So . . . this is it . . . (can I open it?) Okay Now I’m going to . . . Woooooow! This is pretty cool. I’m going to take out everything . . . else . . . and don’t mind that! . . . so . . . and . . . . . . what . . . I’m . . . and this is the motherboard! so we need to . . . Okay, I’m going to take this out of the box and put it on top of . . . . . . okay . . . Ooooof This is it! Wooooow! I’ve nev . . . this is so coooool . . . This is the neurological system of the computer and which is the motherboard! Now we’re going to install the CPU and this is the Ryzen 7, which is the brain of the computer which is the CPU and I’m going to open it. Okay . . . Let’s see . . . I’m gonna . . . Here it is! Now I’m going to . . . to . . . how do we open it? and here it is! Gently take it out and gently drop it into there just like . . . okay . . . this! Now we’re going to lock this into place just . . . gent . . . pushing this down . . . gently . . . gently . . . now it’s in and remember not to touch anything else so . . . let’s move on to the next! This is the Hyper 212 RGB Black . . . Edition . . . and this is it right here! Now we’re going to unscrew the mounting brackets because we’re going to use different ones. so . . . Let’s see . . . I’m going to gently . . . Okay, let’s take off these mounting brackets gently do it, we’re not going to use the same screws so . . . we don’t have to take these out but . . . just leave them aside These are the little screws I’m going to drop . . . we just drop them in gently . . . and we might want to hold on our back plate which is what I’m hold up and we just slide these things little things right on! But we don’t have to do a suu . . . whew! Now that this is done, we’re just gonna lift the motherboard and put right onto there! Okay we’re going to add these two bolts on if you could see and now I’m going to GENTLY drop them on like that aaand . . . look . . . AND next I already did that if you could see We’re going to use this to tighten just drop it onto . . . onto whatever one you want to Okay . . . Gently and slowly. We’re going to use these straight brackets there should be only two If there is more or less . . . if there is only one you gotta . . . you might have lost the second and you need to get another and so these are really important Done. Now let’s take off this sticker. Whoooo, shiny! We’re going to put a pea-sized drop onto the CPU on the “z” right there. Now I just put the cooler on without the fan and I’m going to screw these in. Okay . . . done. The last thing we do is plug in the fan which I already did and the RGB which I already did too. Soooo . . . . Let’s see what we do next! Right now we’re going to install the RAM and . . . and . . . we go two 16 gigabytes and 16 plus 16 is . . . is 22 . . . . . . 32 . . . Soooo let’s open this. Okay . . . Now it’s locked in now we’re going to take the other one out. Let’s see . . . Tap! . . . and . . . lock! Now we’re going to install the hard drive and it’s a M.2 solid state drive so now I’m going to open it and take it out. Now I’m going to put it right there next to where it says M.2 Done! Now we’re going to . . . mount the motherboard to the case! and we’re going to use some . . . motherboard stand-offs and they should be in here. These are . . . these are the stand-offs As you can see, I already put the standing bolts but now I’m going to tighten them using this and a screwdriver. put them down . . . Now we’re going to gently lift the motherboard onto those stand-offs Boom! And there it is! Now I’m just going to try now screwing it in. Now we’re going to install the video card! Oh, I’m so excited! Oooooooooooooooo! Look how pretty it is! Which is . . . it’s the video card and and we’re going to install it to that silver slot Now it’s time to plug in the cables to the motherboard! now I’m gonna just do this Where does it go? Where does THIS go? Now to plug in the wires for the power source. now let me try . . . just watch . . . this might not be easy . . . I’m trying . . . trying . . . I am going to plug in the video card and just watch me Okay . . . I think I did it. Cable management is very important. To install the fan we got to take off the front panel. This is the fan! Okay . . . I opened it through the bottom! Okay . . . ooooooooo! We’re going to u . . . we’re not going to use this one But we . . . but yes we are going to use this one! This is going to go riiight above this . . . the other one. just right here . . . Looks like we have some self-tapping screws in here . . . Make sure the fan is pointing in the right direction so it pulls air from out to in. Plugging it in! This is the wireless adapter and . . . Okay . . . This is it and we’re gonna install this to one of the slots one of thoooooose right there. We have to unscrew this soooo let me . . . watch me because . . . it shouldn’t be too hard . . . then we . . . and that’s . . . and that’s the thing that we’re not going to use. I think I’m done! Now I just gotta screw this back in . . . . . . and then, once I finish screwing it in, that’s . . . we just gotta close the case and boom . . . we’re done! Okay, now I’m going to take this plastic off! I’m going to open the monitor. Where do I put this thing? Okay, let me look . . . oh right here! Okay . . . Just gotta push, push, push . . . okay! Now I’m going to turn it on for the FIRST time. Hmmm? The power button was in the back! Ooo, I feel some nice air in here! ooooOOOOOooooo! Woooow . . . I’ve never seen that in there before . . . And that’s how you build a PC. Wow, such amazing graphics! I’m gonna . . . Oh! *giggles*
